BY ARLINGTON WEEKLY STAFF

Arlington, Texas. April 23, 2018

The Arlington Police Department responded to a major crash on March 15, 2018 around 9 p.m. involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck. Investigators determined that the victim, identified as Brandon Oliver, was traveling southbound in the 5700 block of Kelly Elliott Road. The suspect vehicle, a black or dark-colored quad cab pickup truck, was traveling northbound. Detectives believe the suspect turned left in front of the motorcyclist at the intersection of Kelly Elliott Road and Bradley Lane.

Mr. Oliver attempted to avoid the crash by laying his motorcycle down on the road but still made contact with the suspect vehicle. The suspect initially stopped the pickup and exited the vehicle but then drove off without rendering aid or calling emergency services. Mr. Oliver was pronounced deceased a few days later on March 23, 2018 due to the extent of his injuries received in this crash.

The suspect vehicle was last seen driving westbound on Bradley Lane. Investigators believe the suspect driver was a man and are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect’s truck and his identity. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Cody Towns at 817.575.8603 or Traffic Sergeant Andy Pina at 817.459.5608. Tipsters can also remain anonymous by contacting Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817.469.TIPS.

An anonymous donor came forward after seeing local media reports regarding this case and provided Tarrant County Crime Stoppers with a cashier’s check in the amount of $10,000 in hopes of generating new leads in this case. The department is grateful in their generosity.
