Arlington Man Stabs Two Then Himself

Arlington, Texas. September 12, 2017

The Arlington Police Department responded to a report of someone that was stabbed in the 4600 block of S. Cooper Street at a retail location on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 9:32 p.m. When officers arrived, they located a man in his 20’s with apparent stab wounds. This man was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown.

Approximately 6 minutes later, officers responded to a disturbance involving a knife in the 4800 block of S. Cooper Street. Officers determined that a man stabbed a female at this location behind a retail business. The woman in her 40’s was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased due to multiple apparent stab wounds. 

While officers were trying to stabilize the scene, the suspect, a man in his 40’s, started causing self-inflicting wounds to his body by stabbing himself multiple times. He was transported to a local hospital and his condition is unknown. 

Detectives are in the process of interviewing multiple witnesses at both scenes. Investigators believe that the victims and suspect knew each other and may have a family relationship. It is too early to determine what led up to this incident.
